It is often helpful to send a client an Excel copy of the trial balance or any other automatic document. The latest versions of CaseWare provide a very easy way to do this.
- Right-click on the automatic document you wish to export
- Select “Save as Excel file…”
- Choose a destination, enter a filename, and click “Save”
The exported file should look just like the automatic document:
NOTE: The totals and subtotals are NOT formulas.

It would be helpful to know how to get to the first screen shown in your article. When I’m in ‘Documents’, I can see the balance sheet and income statement, but nothing else, i.e. no Adjusted trial balance, unrecorded differences, financial statement disclosures etc.

Em, the document manager is going to be unique to each user. The first screen above is simply how my firm has our template set up for audits.

May I just say what a comfort to find someone who genuinely knows what they are discussing online. You definitely know how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More people must read this and understand this side of your story. I was surprised that you are not more popular since you definitely possess the gift.|
